Who this is relevant to
For people working or living in NSW, and eligible applicants living offshore, who intend to establish their life and career in the state.
Requirements
For 190 consideration, the current NSW page allows onshore applicants working in their nominated occupation in NSW for at least 20 paid hours a week, or residing in NSW continuously for at least six months. Offshore applicants must have resided offshore continuously for at least six months. Confirm the live rules before relying on a category.
Common issues
An ANZSCO unit group can contain occupations that are not eligible for the visa. NSW invitations remain competitive and discretionary. If invited to apply for 190 nomination, the published application window is 14 days, with documents supporting every EOI claim. A 190 list update does not reopen 491 applications.
